Offcuts is a new project by Portland artist Brenda Mallory.  Obsessively collecting and utilizing an elongated cloth oval as a base unit, Mallory invents and reinvents forms and structures using this primary element. These structures were variously burned, waxed, sewn, bolted, rolled, stretched, crushed and combined with other materials, creating an endless evolution of form.
