A continuation of the artist's investigation into place and cultural identity. Following models such as Modernist Utopias and the Biblical Promised Land, in this work themes of affection, abundance and spiritual purity are paired with symbols of aesthetic purity found in Modernist sculpture and architecture. Clay's pristine paper objects and wall paintings rely on each other to construct a new ideal, one that is as imaginative and playful as it is rooted in the artist's pursuits of faith and paradise.
